Taking to the skies: DroneTech in Environmental Industries
Join DroneTech at Desklodge this evening from 6pm to hear how commercial drone technology and UAVs are being used in game-changing environmental and conservation projects today. The event will include a talk from the founder of Poaching Prevention explaining how a combination of predictive analysis and (UAVs) is protecting African elephants and rhinos in the wild – plus drinks and networking.
The Art of Change
Want to help drive positive change in Bristol? Join some of Bristol’s premier changemakers for The Art of Change. Join us upstairs at Bordeaux Quay at from 6pm to be part of a discussion on how we can accelerate positive change, exploring what would happen if you had the chance to work together in the same space as other changemakers. Speakers include Luke Jerram, Bristol’s world famous installation artist, known for the Park Street slide and Annali Grimes of Litterarti, whose amazing art challenges perceptions about the environment. Tickets are £7.50 on the dooroor and includes refreshments and complimentary glass of wine.

Join us at No 1 Harbourside for a relaxed, informal series of breakfast talks hosted by The Architecture Centre, and powered by PechaKucha. Thursday’s talk will be on Smart Energy, looking into the ways in which we can save energy to generate a greater positive impact on our environment. The event will start at 8.45am, and you’ll hear from Innes Johnston from Max Fordham, Mareike Schmidt from Bristol City Council and Dan Weisselberg from Bristol Green Doors.
